Peanut Chutney
Peanut Chutney
Ingredients: Peanuts, Ginger, Onions, Green Chillis, 1 spoon of oil
Preparation:
Step1 Heat the pan, add one spoon of oil, and add onions, greenchillis
Step 2 Grind ginger, onions and greenchillis
Step 3 Heat the pan and just fry the peanuts
Step 4 Grind the peanuts
Step 5 Mix the peanuts powder with the onion, GreenChilli paste, Add little water to the paste
Seasoning:
Step 6 Take 1 spoon of oil, add to the heated pan ….
Add to it some cumin seeds, zeera and curry leaves.
This would be great with Upma, Pesarattu, Idli or Dosa
Ginger Chutney
Ginger Chutney
Ingredients: Ginger, Onions, Red Chillis, 1 spoon of oil
Preparation:
Step1 Heat the pan, add one spoon of oil, and add onions, red chillis
Step 2 Grind ginger, onions and red chillis to a fine paste – add little water if needed
Seasoning:
Step 3 Take 1 spoon of oil, add to the heated pan ….
Add cumin seeds, zeera and curry leaves.
Ginger Chutney is served along with either Upma, Dosa, Uttapam, Vada, Pesarattu
Cilantro Chutney ( Kottimira chutney)
Ingredients:
Cilantro, Ginger, Onions, Green Chillis, 1 spoon of oil
Cilantro, Ginger, Onions, Green Chillis, 1 spoon of oil
Preparation:
Step 1 Heat the pan, add one spoon of oil, and add onions, ginger, greenchillis and stir fry for about 3 minutes
Step 2 Grind ginger, onions and greenchillis
Step 3 Heat the pan and just fry the Cilantro
Step 4 Grind the Cilantro
Step 5 Mix the Cilantro with the onion, GreenChilli paste, Add little water to the paste
Seasoning:
Step 6 Take 1 spoon of oil, add to the heated pan ….

Coconut Chutney ( Kobbera Pacchadi)
Coconut chutney
Ingredients:
- Kobbera - Coconut scraped from fresh coconut tastes really good
- Green Chillies
- Oil for seasoning
- Ginger
- Onions
- Salt for taste
Preparation:
- Heat the pan, add one spoon of oil, and add onions, ginger, greenchillis and stir fry for about 3 minutes
- Grind ginger, onions and greenchillis
- Grind the Cocunut grated – add little water for fine grinding
- Mix the onion, GreenChilli, ginger paste and Add little water to the paste
Seasoning:
- Take 1 spoon of oil, add to the heated pan ….
- Add cumin seeds, zeera and curry leaves.
Coconut chutney – this chutney served with Dosas, Vada, Upma, Pessarattu , Uttapam etc.

Gongura Chutney
Preparation:
Step1 Heat the pan, add one spoon of oil, and add onions, ginger and stir fry for about 3 minutes
Step 2 Grind ginger, onions to a fine paste
Step 4 Heat the pan and fry the Cilantro and gongura leaves till the leaves are moist.Step 3 Heat the pan and fry the Red chilis and grind red chilis and keep it separately
Step 5 Grind the Gongura and Cilantro leaves
Step 6 Mix the Gongura paste, onion ginger paste, Red chilli paste, Add little water to the paste
Seasoning:
Step 7 Take 1 spoon of oil, add to the heated pan ….
Add cumin seeds, zeera and curry leaves.
This chutney goes with Hot Rice or Roti
Tomato Chutney
Ingredients: Tomatoes ( 3 big) Cilantro, Ginger, Onions(1), Green Chillis (6), 1 spoon of oil
Preparation:
- Heat the pan, add one spoon of oil, and add onions, ginger, greenchillis and stir fry for about 3 minutes
- Grind ginger, onions and greenchillis to a fine paste
- Heat the pan and just fry the Tomatoes now for about 4 minutes
- Grind the Tomatoes
- Mix the Cilantro with the Tomatoes, onion, GreenChilli paste.
Seasoning:
- Take 1 spoon of oil, add to the heated pan ….
- Add cumin seeds, zeera and curry leaves.
This would go on top of the Tomato chutney – this chutney goes with all Tiffins, Idli, Dosa, Upma, Vada, Attu, Uttapam etc
